Can two walk together,
except they be agreed?

Grace be unto you from me, my beloved
Christian brothers & sisters.
Thanking God for allowing us to come together
in the sharing of His word once again.
Remember to take out some time in your
daily schedule to give God some praise for
all He has done for you.
May He keep each of you safe in this
holiday weekend.
Giving thanks to those who shared a response
on the Supreme Court decision letter I sent out.
Viewpoints were from one spectrum to another,
but one thing is sure, God will judge this
Nation & it's leaders, along with each one of
us for our actions in our lives.
I shall not speak to you long in this meeting.
Just to remind us to stay in God's will.
Friends have you ever got up to get ready
for your daily routine, laying out something
to wear & proceeded to iron that garment,
just ironing away,
only to find out, that no steam is going forth,
or those wrinkles are still in the there?
O, I have done this so many times.
Only to find out, your iron was not plugged in.
I can just hear everyone who reads this,
saying:
AWWWWW!!
For this brings me to my topic this week:
(Disconnection From God Is Dangerous)

In the Book of Amos, we see the nation Israel
(northern kingdom)
They were now enjoying a period of peace,
thinking no approaching doom could
draw close to them.
But Amos & Hosea were sent to warn them of
such destruction, for they were not staying
connected to the God of their fathers,
rejecting His laws & not keeping His statutes.
*** The law of THIS country ***
*** will only be kept when we ***
*** learn to keep the law of God ***
We see that in less than fifty years,
Israel was utterly destroyed & the pitiful
remnant of her people were not even as a
leg of a sheep taken from the jaw of the devourer.
This is the Great picture of God's abhorrence of sin.
Friends, just as a marriage, friendship,
job relations, business partnerships,
raising of our children, need that connection
to make it work, Our relationship with God
has to be a connection of faith & obedience.
The Israelites, in the Book of Isaiah,
complained that since they were fasting &
humbled themselves before the Lord,
He had not taken notice.
(Isaiah 58)
Well friends, He let them know that it was
still in their connection to Him, through
their rebellion & disobedience.
A ship at sea following the wrong course
will surely face some sort of trouble,
even wreckage, but a captain plotting the
wrong course knowingly,
something is wrong with his mind.
Prophets like Amos, who try to warn the
people are often ignored, just as this
Nation does not heed to warnings of those who
have stated God is not pleased.
We are always willing to hear of our enemy's doom.
Our own is harder to swallow, but we are forced
to take it with our enemy.
God implied in such actions,
two things should they not expect from Him.
Can YOU figure out what things,
Dear Friends?
In this present time, no different from Amos' day,
we have lost our connection in
True Obedience to God.
God will not,
(1) answer our prayers
(2) nor will He accept our worship
Stern words, but we have no legitimate reason
to expect Him to do so, when we are passive
in our stance on certain issues facing us &
not living in obedience unto God.
Their outward appearance was that of those
doing His will, but their hearts were not changed.
If you want to know if you have a meaningful
relationship with God,
Stay Connected, in obedience to Him.
