* Psalm 3 *

Verse 3

*

You, O Lord,
are
a shield for me,
my glory
and the One
who lifts up my head.

Grace be unto you from me, my beloved Christian brothers & sisters. Let us be thankful once again to God for allowing the fellowship of His word through this group. Being ever so mindful to take out some time in your daily schedule to give Him praise & glory for all He has done for you. Thanking each of you who was so considerate & compassionate in sharing your prayers, e-cards, & phone calls, in the uplifting of my spirit on the past break in on my home last Saturday & the other trials I have faced in the past few weeks. I thank God for you & this ministry that I am surrounded by so many faith filled friends. As I stated in a letter earlier in the week, I have served notice on satan, & dear friends, stand with me in this, when you are faced with any type of trial, persecution, etc. We as Christians collectively can boldly declare,
I Shall Not Be Moved
Just get up & stand in the middle of your room, lift your hands to God & shout it out!!!!!! Let's continue to put satan on the run. We were are legitimate citizens of this earth & he is not. This is part of a poem I wrote a few years ago, that seems fitting to my lesson.
Pray with me my dear friends.

A fading clap of thunder,
Distant flashes of lightning,
What was a pelting of rain drops,
Against my window,
Is now just a memory,
Yet it causes me to gaze,
Patiently toward the sky.

Dear friends, at one time or another you & I have come face to face with a storm, the wind & rain, lightning & thunder, either making us afraid or excite us. The shear force & strength of most storms, drench, shake, & rattle us until we must take shelter or face possibly some harm. This is true with our spiritual storms as well, tossed, shaking us to our inward core, trying to keep us from seeking the One True place of shelter, our Lord Jesus Christ. Job must have felt such a storm, when all of a sudden, the dark clouds rolled in, thunder & lightning displayed it's majesty about him, & then the rain, O dear friends, how it did rain in his life. Even the ones who were supposedly his friends, the wife he had taken to be near his side always,
joined in with this storm.

Through these trials I have faced of late, I hear Job saying: Even though He slay me, YET, will I trust Him & wait until my change comes.
(Job 13:15; 14:14; 19:25-26)
O, how this word touches me, for I know He lives & shall lift my & your head when the storm has passed.

O My Lord

We can have peace in the midst of the storm, I am not saying it will be easy, for some of you know that I am shaken in my spirit to go on, but when I look back & see His goodness & mercy, the friends I have gathered through this ministry, I say "Thank You Lord." God is our shield & we are to hold up our head with confidence. He shall deliver us & deal with our adversaries in His time. While the victory is on the way, go to God & tell Him about your troubles. Let the glory of Him overshadow you, we don't have to defend ourselves, let God protect your heart with His great shelter of love & care. Then like David, we can lie down in peace & sleep, though thousands are against us. Often we face our trials as though He has abandoned us.
He promises us that He will never leave us or forsake us.
(Hebrews 13:5)

Dear friends, just as the poem states, the storm had passed by, & I wait for the blessings of God to restore unto me all that was destroyed or taken. Job was tested & Our God increased unto him all that was lost. Lift up your head my beloved, for God does love you. Pray for one another in the uplifting of spirit & healing. If you enjoy any of the lessons or just have a sentiment, please send them. Remember to keep God first in all you do in the upcoming week.
May God always walk with you & you with God

Peace
Don
