* I Peter 2 *

Verse 2

*

Like newborn babes,
long for the pure milk
of the word,
that by it
you may grow in respect to salvation

(Soul Winner's New American Standard New Testament)

Grace be unto you from me, my beloved Christian brothers & sisters. Thanking God once more for allowing us to share in His word through this group. Forget not to take out some time in your daily schedule to give Him praise for all He has done for you. Last week was a most interesting week & I thank all of you who shared your viewpoints. We can all learn from one another & get a different way of looking at God's word & ourselves as well, when we share our thoughts. Continue to pray for members who are ill & those who have family members that are ill also. The miracle of birth is a wonderment & experience of great joy & blessing from God. His creations & miracles far exceed any of our mindful abilities, exceeding any of our vast accomplishments academically. He is that who He is. Our Great Heavenly Father. I know there are mothers in the group & a few fathers & we know that when a newborn baby enters this world, we are all excited & just bursting with hopes & expectations for him/her, but that little baby is only concerned about, getting some milk.

For this brings me to my topic for this week:
(Got Milk)

******************************************************
Peter is saying to us that when we become
"children of God"
(John 1:12)
we are like newborn babes, having no treasury of supplies in ourselves. Newborn babies are helpless, dependent morning til night for clothing, shelter, food from a caring mother & the protection of a father. This is such a wonderful parable of Christian men & women, we have nothing of ourselves, but accessing to the unsearchable riches of Christ. In this, we are filled with the fullness of God. You know friends, when a newborn baby is hungry, you know what I mean, especially mothers, all of the goo-goo, gaa-gaas, the O they are so precious, now just come on & bounce on the knee treatment, will not calm that baby down when they are hungry.

*Am I Right About It*
Dear Friends
*

We all know the Bible talks about the New Birth.
We read in
(John 3:3)
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God."
This is the way we should be as newborns of God, not be satisfied until we get fed the sincere milk (God's Word) & therefore continue to grow as Christians. As Christians there should be a new longing in our hearts, a new hunger. We are not self-sustained, but God-sustained. Spiritual milk makes us grow unto salvation. This is what we should live on spiritually. The word "milk" suggests it is the perfect food for children, containing all elements for building up the body. So is the "Word", building up the soul. When we continue to desire the Word, we can grow in maturity in the fullness of
our Lord Jesus Christ

(Hebrews 5:13)
states that we are a babe if we continue not to grow in righteousness, not desiring the meat or Christian maturity. We are to grow in all aspects of Him. Being diligent in reading of scripture, accurately handling the word of truth. Starting the day with prayer & continuing through the day. Dedicating our bodies a living sacrifice unto God, so that others can see God through your example of living for Him. You see friends, some will only hear about God or see God, only through you.

Thank You Lord

When we sin, we are to ask God for forgiveness, this is a crucial step in a growing Christian, for some of us feel that we do not sin & little sins don't matter, but, is a trick of our adversary, he wants us to think that this little thing does not matter unto God, God is to busy to see or be concerned with it, but HEAR me, we all have, will sin & we must confess & ask God to forgive us for those sins,
He does not let sin go unpunished.
(Exodus 34:7)

Most of us has heard the story of
"The Boy Who Cried Wolf"
well to make it short, this little boy would cry wolf unto the people of the town just to make them come out to kill the wolf from eating the sheep. The boy did this several times & they people came to his aide, but each time he just laughed at them, for there was no wolf & the people went back home. One day a wolf did show up to eat the sheep & he cried "wolf" "wolf", but no one came, they did not believe him anymore. He did not know what else to do, so he also became a snack for the wolf.
O, friends, do see what a dilemma, he thought nothing of lying & was assured nothing would ever happen to him, but sin has a price & in his case, it was death.

My Christian brothers & sisters
entertain not the idea of sin,
when you do,
call on God
to forgive
you.

Dear friends, what do you think would happen or maybe in your church this a part of the ministry, if we really & truly smiled, cheered, & said with heart felt emotion "I Love You" to the young Christians, not in age, but in their new birth unto God? With the Bible Studies, Wednesday Services, & Sunday School classes, we should encourage them to reach out & put some spiritual food in their own mouths. Through this, we all would learn to study our bible more & grow. Whether you are a newborn, learning to hold a spoon, feeding yourself, eating meat & potatoes or a teacher in a church or starting your own ministry, DO NOT be content. Ask God for more spiritual insight & clarity of thought, that you shall continue to grow as His child.
Together, we can create a spiritual cookbook, when we share His word & be fully satisfied.

*Bon Appetite*

Pray for one another in the uplifting of spirit & healing.
If this has been a beacon of light or if any of you wish to be opted from this group, please send me a note of that reflection, in that, I shall delete your name, as I wish not to offend anyone.
May God always walk with you & you with God.

Peace
Don
