~~~A Tribute To My Mother~~~
(Like God)
She cared for me as a child & prepared for manhood.
(Like God)
She shared the word of the Bible & taught me the power of prayer.
(Like God)
She corrected me when I disobeyed & loved me unconditionally.
(Like God)
She has never forsaken me & sacrificed her life for me.
Happy Mother's Day
___________________________________________
Grace be unto you from me, my beloved Christian brothers & sisters. Thanking almighty God once again for allowing this group to share his word in fellowship. Let us take some time out of our daily lifestyle to praise him for all he has done for us. Sunday is Mother's Day & all around the country, many of us will give thanks, praise, & honor to our mother. Some of you are a mother & will get the same praise from your children, others may have lost a child or even your own mother. This can be a most depressing & trying time for those who are going through or remembering a loss. For those of you who did not know your mother, thank God that He took the place of your mother & still provided for you.
(Genesis 1:27; Isaiah 66:13)
God does care for us.
(Psalm 9:10, Psalm 100:3; Matthew 14:14; I Peter 5:7)
My dear friends, even in a mother experiencing great joys & intense sorrows, when she has served God with her life, every season of motherhood serves
God's eternal purpose.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)
For this brings me to my topic of this week:
(Remember what Momma said)
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Growing up in East Texas, a small town boy with two brothers & one sister, I was taught some laws from my mother that has helped in my life through many difficult days.
I thank God that my mother cared for me.
Can YOU hear your mother's voice?
I remember, one was the "law of prayer & faith", she trusted God for all things & through his wisdom, she believed He would work out our situation. That trust kept her gentle & peaceful amidst the storms, pressures, & trials we faced as a family.
She was strong in her faith towards God.
She would say:
"Just keep praying for He will, work it out"
A second law, I call the "law of humility", as children we all got into bits of trouble, right?, or maybe it was just me:LOL.
Friends, think about that one, OK!!
Moving on, if we did something wrong or distasteful.
She would say:
"come & tell me, so we can work it out"
O, my mother, she knew we needed to be humble spirited in our life, for when we failed to do right, we needed to go to God in our humility & ask for forgiveness.
[Tell your Mother how much you love her & her laws]
[If she is gone, tell her in your spirit to God]
[For if you knew her not, cry unto God ]
[For He still cared for you]
Moreover, this law was one above all, the "law of family". Her love for my father was solid, whom has passed on for many years now, in my dad's last days, she retired from teaching to be by his side & comfort him in his illness; her children; she never complained or said hurtful things to us for being her children. We were taught early the reverence to God, fellowship in church & take time to always pray. She played the piano & taught me how to read music before the 7th grade.
The first time publicly I ever played my saxophone was in a BTU program with her. She loved us so much that she sacrificed some of her dreams for us.
*Thank You God For My Mother*
My Mother would say:
"after all has forsaken you",
"only God & family do you have, love them both"
Friends, I am sure in Jesus' life, his mother, Mary had given Him laws to live by, even though He was the Christ. Like all mothers, she had her season of joy & sorrow. For she was joyful in His birth (Luke 2:7) & even the prophetic verse from Simeon, that even a sword of sorrow would pierce her soul, because of the closeness of her & Jesus (Luke 2:35), as she watched Him die on the cross (John 19:25-30). No worst sorrow for a mother, than to be helpless when her child is dying. Motherhood is a sacred partnership with God, in that, the season no matter how sweet or bitter, when we trust Him as our saviour, like Mary trusted, we know in the appointed time we shall be with our mother as Mary is with Him. I am truly grateful for my mother's compassion, love & nurturing spirit, that she has given me laws I shall never forget.
*Through many days will I remember my Mother*
Dear Christian mothers, you too are writing
"laws"
for your children.
Are they worth remembering?
For all of you that your mother is living or has passed on,
do you remember some of her laws or the one that raised you? Never let their memory die in your spirit, in that, they still live in your heart.
Christian mothers, teach your children in the reverence of the Lord & they shall be a blessing.
(Isaiah 54:13)
Pray for one another in the uplifting of spirit & healing. If any one of you wish to be opted from the list, please send me a note & I will delete you from the list, as I wish not to offend anyone.
May God always walk with you & you with God.
